This is a great improvement over the factory muffler for my 2015 Laramie. It is a direct bolt in replacement and involved no cutting at all. Just a helpful hint for those about to buy this…have a blow torch ready just to heat the clamped areas to get the factory muffler out. Without the torch, mine would not have come off. But it just used basic tools and bolts right in. Sounds amazing. Definitely aggressive but I’m still young so I like it lol. Seriously though, it’s loud. Idle sounds perfect, high rpm gets a little bit raspy but that’s just from the lack of a muffler and I expected that. If you want it LOUD, but this one…if not then buy a different bolt in from these guys, but stick with this company! It’s the best bang for your buck. It came with quality clamps and everything lined up perfectly! They definitely know what they are doing at Totalflow!

I’ll upload videos later, but yea, this thing is sweet at idle. Around 1700rpm cruising, it drones a good amount, even with resonators. Easy install. Worth the money, but buy it only if you don’t mind some drone.

I put on the Flowmaster American Series direct fit muffler in January 2021 thinking it would sound exactly like I wanted. With the factory resonators still installed the Flowmaster American Series just wasn’t the deep growl that it should have been still I opted to purchase the TotalFlow muffler delete direct fit and keep the resonators. The TotalFlow was the sound I was looking for, very throaty, deep growl and aggressive with a cackle when you let off the accelerator at higher RPMs. Don’t hesitate to do this to your Hemi. It sounds exactly like a Hemi should. At highway speed it is barely noticeable that you have modified your exhaust until you get on it to pass someone. No noticeable drone to speak of. I wish I would have just installed this kit first but that’s my loss, don’t be like me!

So, initially I was going to go a bit crazy on my Ram 1500’s exhaust and do everything from the headers back to get a great sounding truck with some extra performance. But I had to be more budget friendly. This was the perfect mix. From the factory the current 2.5” tailpipes and tips are fine, the removing the muffler with this item completely opens it up. You get to hear that v8 for all its glory. It’s got a low growl, and when you get on it (even just 3k rpm’s) you get a roaring truck. But at idle and low RPms your neighbors won’t hate you. It’s a perfect mix.TLDR;Sounds amazing, is very cost efficient and the installation can be a one person job without jacks. Use penetrating wd40 to loosen corroded bolts. But otherwise super easy. Another tip, use some of that wd40 as a lube to slip the old hanger rubber off. Makes for light work. Goodluck!
