They are fraying. Overall, I got a good 4 years from this thing and will order another one soon. No issues, fits well looks good and protects from chips.

    Purchased this to cover up some rock chips and to prevent more, but mainly for looks. Great fitment.UPDATE: RECENTLY BROKE THE CENTER STRAP ON THE INSIDE & LONG STORY SHOrt AFTER REPLACING MAFS, TPS, VVTI SOLENOID. IT WAS THE HOOD BRA BLOCKING THE INTAKE DUCT!! IT WOULDNT GO OVER LIKE 45Mph MAKING ME SO MAD!!I fixed it but if anyone has this problem this is the solution.
