Own a 00 f250 (7.3) in mint condition, also a 07.4 Duramax lbz, also mint. I used hot shot whatever this is to compare to the Grey bottled formula diesel keen from power service products.. They even smell identical, exactly the same color and the same results. I have used diesel kleen for fifteen years. No exaggeration.The good news is, this hot shots secret whatever, it does work. I can attest to good throttle response, quieter injectors and less valve rattle in both diesels I own.. However, there’s no noticeable difference between hot shots and diesel kleen in the gray bottle that I can vouch for, even on my scan tool. Both products contain cetane and lubricity additives.In short, the product works as stated but to me, it doesn’t live up to the hype from the duramax crowd. For the money and ease of locating additives locally and can be found in most all stores, I’ll likely continue to use diesel kleen. Sorry but I just can’t see the hype for this, and good luck finding this at a store near you.FYI – Injector balance rates on my duramax lbz were identical before and after use of this product, as are diesel kleen results identically. But, they were no worse, either. Remember, it will pep up throttle response slightly and shut up diesel rattle by 30 or 40 percent on both my diesels. That’s a fact.

I’ve used other products that had some effect but Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme leaves the competition in the dust. I drive a 2005 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax. With Hot Shot Secret the average fuel economy is over 20 mpg. The best mileage I could get before using Hot Shot Secret was 16 mpg. I snapped the photo at the end of a long drive which included scaling some of the highest passes on I-5. Getting 20 mpg in a 7,000 pound truck at 70 mph is amazing. With nearly 200,000 miles on the truck I’ve never had any issues with the injectors. Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme keeps injectors clean and raised the cetane level which is why it produces such great performance.

We have found our RAM ecoDiesel to be a little particular about the diesel we put through it. We had no trouble at all with the two diesel stations we usually use, but after a tank from a supplier we don’t usually use but had to in a pinch, we noticed changes in the horsepower and the particulates in our exhaust. It took a few tanks from our regular diesel provider, and the use of this clean and boost, to get our engine back to normal. It’s running normally again, and we are not having issues with heavier than normal particulates in the exhaust. We are much more particulat about the quality of diesel we put in it now, but still use the clean and boost every so often just to be “clean” things up a bit. If you have issues with the quality of your diesel, this product from Hot Shots’ really helped us out a lot.
