The jack feels sturdy enough to support plenty of weight and are easy to use. All metal construction with powder coat finish. Currently using this to add support to shelves and furniture that are bearing heavy loads.Keep in mind, this is not meant to be used as a jack for actively raising heavy items, and looking at the pictures, it is clear to see that it is not meant to do so. It’s main use is similar to a jack stand, where the heavy object is lifted by another tool or already floating, and this is meant to bear the weight of the object once lowered.

As pointed out by a previous reviewer, they will not apply jacking or lifting pressure. They can only be adjusted to provide a fixed support. I believe I can modify them to provide the needed lift in a tight area between a foundation wall and sagging sub floor.

I use these for a very unorthodox purpose. I recently acquired some old colonial style porch balusters. I wanted to use two of them for pedestals for the overhang on my kitchen island that I built. However, they are not tall enough so I decided to use these at the top of the baluster where they will be hidden under the countertop in order to secure the balusters underneath the countertop. Viola, now the balusters are tall enough for the kitchen island overhang and you can’t see the little jacks because they’re hidden by the trim under the countertop.

Leveling a floor was made quite easy with these floor jacks, worked very well, well made and can handle small to medium weight with ease. Would definitely order again if needed
