Took it to the Subaru dealer and they tried to program it, but it was not possible. I was dismayed, and then I got ill and didn’t try to return the fob in an expedient manner, I was off by one day , so they wouldn’t allow a return. I did get a free coffee at the dealership and enjoyed watching their TV. Very disappointing though to not be able to program the fob. Or get my money back.

Programmed fine but some functions not available. Unable to place vehicle in chirp mode where as with oem fob can change from silent to chirp.

My old key fob broke and I didn’t want to go the very expensive route of getting a replacement from a dealer. I purchased this item. It arrived very quickly and was packaged well. It even came with a battery already installed. While I hade a little bit of trouble getting it programed to my 2006 Subaru Impreza Sport, that was mostly user error and impatience. With some trial an error and following the instructions in the owner’s manual of my vehicle, I got this fob programmed to my car and it works well and reliably. This was an excellent purchase, well worth the cost.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My boyfriend has a 2006 Subaru forester and his last key fob broke so I got him this and we both tried to program it and followed the instructions and it wouldn’t pair.
